Lump Of Coal Campaign

"I am hereby launching the Lump of Coal campaign. Later today, I will box up a lump of charcoal, mark the package 'MERRY CHRISTMAS!' and send it to the Denver Mayor in protest of his idiotic policy. Please join me in doing the same (and if you take a photo of your creatively designed package, I will link/post)."

Michelle Malkin is tired of the politically correct terminology changing
Christmas Parades to some other title such as Denver's "Parade of Lights." Traditional Christmas Carols are not allowed. The mayor says "Happy Holidays" will replace
"Merry Christmas" signs next year so that nobody will be offended.

Well, I AM offended. Other holiday celebrations do not offend me. Kwanzaa, Chanukka and Eid are not offensive to me although I am not Black, Jewish or Muslim. Why does it seem that any mention of a Christian holiday needs to be hidden away from a public who may be offended? Ethnic groups within the USA that celebrate religious or national holidays from their former homeland do not offend me. Many cite the establishment clause (Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.) as the rationale for these decisions. First of all, it is not congress making these pronouncements but low level
politicians and businesses and second, they totally prohibit the free exercise of persons wanting to acknowlege the fact that Jesus is the reason for the season.
