You are likely aware that we in the mili...Hey Pat,<br /><br />You are likely aware that we in the military, the Army in particular, are undergoing a big reorganization. What a Division is and what a Brigade is and so forth are going to completely change.<br /><br />Part of the process of doing this is creating new Brigade units that are larger than the Brigades we have now. There will be slightly fewer of them in the end though. As a result, we have a temporary need for more troops to sustain the number of units that we have and will have as we reorganize.<br /><br />When we finish what we have, it may be decided to produce more Brigades and the increase in numbers we are looking for now will have to be made permanent.<br /><br />It amounts to an increase of about 30,000 Soldiers. Of course you don't just add on that many troops overnight.
