Ping Problems?

I try to read all of the blogs in Homspun Bloggers. It is disappointing when clicking on the blogs at the top of the blogroll to see that the same post is there that I read the last time the blog was on the blogroll. I hit refresh, same post appears. I switch from IE to Mozilla Firefox or visa versa and the same old post is there. What is happening with the Weblog Update Form? Is my computer at fault? Is there a glitch in the update mechanism? Is a single blog so important it must stay at the top? Has anyone
else noticed this?

I couldn't figure out what was happening at first, because my blog would never roll to the top. Then I found the right spot to autoping, and now mine rolls automatically.

I haven't noticed what you have, though, with the same blog staying on top. Perhaps it relates to someone like me who will go back and edit my post when I get new information. I don't know if that sets off the pinging again or not. I am not trying to "game the system," I am trying to correct mistakes. (Unlike the MSM, I don't try to hide it on page 13 of my blog.)

  2. I always end up manually pinging. Blogger is supposed to automatically ping but it doesn't seem to work in my case.

  3. I pinged for awhile becuase blogger would not update for me. Then I just gave up when I noticed my blog was listed in the blogroll after I had done some posting. However, I've noticed a couple of time that I appear in the blogroll even when I don't post for a few days.

I know this don't help - but what the heck.

Love your blog by the way.

Pat - I don't see any syndication links on your blog or links to services such as Bloglines, which is what I use. I find that using syndication feeds makes it much easier to keep up with my favorite blogs.
