We will make sure every vote is counted. We must vigorously enforce our voting rights -- 57,000 votes not counted in Palm Beach County. I especially noted the praise for Julian Bond, his comments that the president could arrange his schedule to be here, that "faith without works" is meaningless.
My view is that these are a lot of promises that would be lovely if they were feasible. Hillary said in California that the tax cuts would be taken from us and here Kerry is promising more. I didn't realize we had the right to tax the top 2% to such an extent that they could pay for all of his plans. How reassuring that lawyers will be monitoring the voting process--I'm sure that will resound throughout America and make us all feel better.
Kerry's willingness to champion all who bash President Bush be it Whoopi or Julian makes it hard to swallow when he claims to be the great uniter. This is not the leader I want!
