Breaking News

Harriet Miers has withdrawn her nomination as Associate Justice to SCOTUS. I wish her well. It must be a very harrowing experience going through such a hostile process.

  1. The opposition was too much; she did the right thing to step down. I admire her decision - promoting the unity of the Republican Party is necessary right now, and she will always be an advisor to the President.

  2. Yes, the opposition to the President on this I think was nothing personal about her. But Presidents need to avoid cronyism, and he's had a problem with that.
