DEBATING U.S. IMMIGRATION POLICY - IN MEXICO

An American, legally residing in Mexico, writes about the Mexican presidential candidates and their proposed policies.

The similarities are pretty well summed up as:

1. Convince American politicians to legalize illegal immigrants who have broken US laws for the longest period of time.

2. Get The US and Canada to pay for development in Mexico.

3. Do not let any other country interfere in Mexico's internal affairs.

4. Use the Mexican consulates in the US to support the paisanos by defending them "against discrimination and the violation of their human rights."
