First Purple Heart

Major Garrett, on Fox News, reviews Kerry's Journal entry on 12/11/1968 in which he wrote that he and his crew mates had yet to be shot at, was writtten 9 days after the wound suffered on 12/2/68 for which he obtained his first purple heart.

  1. I seem to be behind in keeping up with this news, but Kerry should've really just been open from the start. Damnit someone ask him to explain all three and get it over with! It's not the end of the world if your oppenents know one (or 1 1/2) of your Purple Hearts was accidental. This is definitely the least merited of his medals. No one seems to question his second but his third was partly accidental and partly from getting thrown by an explosion. I still (yes) have faith in his Bronze and Silver stars as we've got Rood and Russells more recent testimony to counter the Swift Vets'.
