PRESIDENTIAL PRAYER - Day 9

Our Heavenly Father

We come into your presence today to thank you for the world you created. You have blessed us in so many ways including life in freedom in this great country. You have provided us with strong leaders who have led this country since our nation was born. We have prospered beyond any nation on earth, yet we have failed you and your people in so many ways. We pray you will forgive us for being blind to the needs of other nations so that people despaired while others developed a great hatred for us.

All of the worlds nations are in need. So many are oppressed and longing to live in freedom. So many of your people live in want of daily needs. So many are dying because of insufficient food and shelter, of disease, and of mans inhumanity. Those of us who live in free nations are in need of spiritual reawakening.

We are involved in a world wide struggle against persons who are committing such horrendous deeds in Allah's name. We do not believe that they are pleasing in your sight. We believe we need to protect those who live in daily fear for their lives and the lives of their loved ones. We believe that it is up to those of us in the free world to work to defeat those who hold your people in bondage. Father we need your leadership as we look forward to the election of the man who will lead us as a nation in the coming four years. We pray that we choose wisely and that you will guide the voters to elect the one who you would have achieve the position that is to be the leader of the free world. We pray that you will guide us as voters as we carefully review the issues facing us and determine who will be most suited to complete the tremendous tasks at hand.

Lord we pray our leader will be a man of genuine personal faith and that you are able to work through him to achieve your purposes. We pray today that the President of the United States be granted the wisdom and strength to provide leadership to confront our nations and the worlds problems. When the election is over, may we forget the campaign rhetoric and may the people of this nation come together to support whoever is our president for the next four years. May other leaders come forth to support this president as he leads our nation.

We pray that thou will grant him the health, energy and conviction necessary to lead our nation. Guard his safety. Grant the president the grace and knowledge of ways in which he can influence others to confront the problems of this world.. Give him the gift of humility and patience. Give him the words to speak, that others may understand whatever problems we face. Bless him with a conciliatory spirit while pursuing the goals facing our nation and world. Help him show the world what may be achieved by working together as nations united.. We pray for the leaders of other nations that they will work together with our nation to achieve what is pleasing to you.

We know that it is only through your grace that we have any hope to accomplish the goal of sharing liberty to increasing numbers of your people throughout the world. Our nation and our leader depend on you to find the the ways most pleasing in your sight to work for peace and liberty. We know that to those of us to whom much has been given much will be expected. May we accept these burdens and realize how greatly our nation has been blessed. As individuals, without your guidance, we can do nothing. With your blessings, with good leadership, we believe we can help our fellow man. May our president and other leaders of our nation be good and faithful servants. May they work together in a spirit of the laws you gave us through Moses and which formed the basic tenets of our constitution.

We pray rhat you will continue to bless and protect this nation. We will continue to pray for our president knowing that through you all things are possible.

Father,in all these things we give thanks to you who loved us so much that you gave us your only begotten son. We believe in Christ's command to love one another even as He has loved us. May we truly accept His challenge and through our actions and those of our President bring glory and honor to you. Grant us our prayers, in Jesus name we pray.

Amen

  1. Pat, thanks for your prayers. I ended up using your "extra" prayer for yesterday, since the scheduled prayer didn't arrive in time.

Thanks again! You are awesome in your faith.
