The Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments

The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments in a Courthouse! You cannot post
"Thou Shalt Not Steal,"
"Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery" and
"Thou Shall Not Lie"
in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians!

It creates a hostile work environment.

I enjoy jokes via Email.

  1. Hi Pat. I am a regular reader, but don't comment much.

My solution for the 10 commandments thing. I think it should be displayed anywhere and everywhere, but to shut up those jerks in the ACLU, they should simply post a sign that says:

10 things that you should know that can help you lead a better life:

    Respect your parents
    Don't murder people
Don't fool around with married people

Those of us in the Christian know - will get the idea. Those who aren't, can't really do much - as theoretically, it isn't really the "10 commandments" so to say.

I wonder what would happen if they did something like that. Would the nay-sayers still actually want to pull it down? Probably. But I wonder if they could if it was to be put in a way that didn't actually reflect the commandments in the Bible.

It would be hard with ones like "Thou shalt not worship other gods before me" - but i am sure there is a way to word it.
